Another empty promises by the developer again...... This has become a very common trend in their work and we as people living surrounding their project will continue to be the victim. Victim of personal gain (this is a business after all) and this will always be around if our local council continue siding them in everything they do.
They have been dragging this issue all the way and by the time they try to do something, it's only 3 days left for the piling to finish. So, next time if you guys face the same issue as us where piling work is being done the incorrect way, take drastic action immediately and not like us, going through all the unnecessary bureaucracy way which turns out really not effective at all. Means if next time people say you should be going through the right channel to voice up your concern, think again, they are actually asking us not to pursue what we plan to do.
Anyway, just to update you guys a bit on this matter since my last post.
Everyday is actually a nightmare for us as we have been feeling the minor tremors almost on a daily basis where the injection piling produce really great vibration and noise. The noise we are not too worry about but the vibration itself. It's so loud till the senior citizens from our building would leave their home and wait outside at the gate. Imagine how serious this is. Cracks that could be avoided in the first place, happened and we will continue to complain about this even way after the piling has finish. Why MPSP approve this project but they are not monitoring it? We have been giving them plenty of information about this. Asking them to come and be there to witness everything seems to be an impossible task.
October 26th 2010, a meeting with local council (MPSP), the Telaga Emas Developers as well as our local representative was held at our apartment multipurpose hall. We have around 40 representatives from our side, 7 from AIRMAS Development, 2 MPSP and one local representative. MPSP on developer's behalf were asking for another 3 days piling so that we don't keep bothering them anymore and by this piling process finished, they would start to rectify all the cracks that happen around the project which they promised the following week. Just for your information, today is another working week finished and not a single call from them. Pretty pathetic don't you think. We were thinking, why MPSP asking us to give them another 3 days to do piling when i ask this meeting to be convened 3 weeks before when they start destroying our place. Why drag so long? Isn't it an obvious case where MPSP is actually playing wild card on behalf of the developer? It's pretty obvious to me.
For your information and surprise, when our local representative ask the piling engineer on why this machine produce this kind of vibration and noise when it should not have, the engineer said it's because the machine which is holding the pile SLIPS and the vibration is caused by the machine falling to the earth. Imagine 180 tonne machine falling down to earth. Besides that, the irresponsible engineer also said that this might be the fault of the driver which was controlling the machine at that time. They might not be skilled enough. Imagine he is saying this and local council think ok. Imagine this has been happening to us for the past 3 weeks. The engineer promise to increase the pressure holding the pile and also change to a new driver. Another yet empty promises. The problem continue for the next 3 days and calls to MPSP and developers yielded no result.
Imagine the piling engineer admitting it's their fault but still no action taken by local council but instead, asking us to let them continue piling.
Whatever happens now, we will still pursue this case as we know our rights and the rights of the people living surrounding this project. To those who is facing this issue elsewhere, do stand up and go against whoever you think is responsible and making your loving place home into a nightmare.
