Difference Between Condo and Apartment

What is the different between Apartment and Condominium?
If you were to look around for explanation online, which what I did actually, you will find out a lot of strange and funny answers. I used to believe that apartment is some sort like a medium priced apartment and condominium is higher price apartment and low price one, well, we call it flat but then again, i notice that some apartment selling price is well over condominium value already and so, should we upgrade that apartment into condominium status or should be just leave it as it is? I'm confuse. Anyway, below are some of the answers I got from the internet aka the World.

1) Condo - A condominium is a relatively new form of property ownership created by statute which allows persons to buy and sell apartments within a building
Apartment - A residential cooperative is usually an apartment building that is owned by a corporation. The shareholders or members of the corporation are entitled to lease one of the apartments

2) Condo - Is an apartment that you own.
Apartment - Is an apartment that you rent out.

3) Condo - A condominium carries an individual deed of trust for each unit.
Apartment - Apartment building carries a single deed of trust that encompasses the properties as a whole.
**Don't ask me what this means coz i dont' have a clue to it also

4) Condo - A classy apartment, more facilities like swimming pool, gym etc.
Apartment - High rises without corridors like the flats. it usually have larger units and better facilities than flats

Well, all the explanation i got from the net can be sum up to the one mentioned above but then again, don't know why i'm still confuse. If they said condo has more facilities, i seen a lot of apartment also have tons of facilities. Then how?

If you guys have any good explanation on this, please do tell by putting your comment below.

For now, i think we should all stick with my only explanation: The difference between a condominium and apartment is..............is....... just the spelling...ke ke ke
